Risks
- The roots, stems, leaves, and flowers of the butterfly weed are poisonous to dogs. If ingested, early signs to watch out for are abnormal heart rate, hypothermia, and low blood pressure.
- Other common signs of butterfly weed poisoning in canines are hypersalivation, vomiting, diarrhea, lack of coordination, and in worst cases, seizures.
