- The leaves, seeds, and stems of fiddlenecks contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which are mainly toxic to livestock. The plant’s poisonous effect on dogs is not determined. However, some sources state that it can cause toxicity in canines.
- Coming into contact with the plant may cause dogs to experience contact dermatitis.
