- The leaves of the Franciscan rain tree contain a toxic component called brunfelsamidine that causes stomach problems and neurological disorders in dogs.
- Vomiting, diarrhea, excessive drooling, and lack of energy may take place if dogs ingest this plant. Incoordination, tremors, and seizures may also be observed.
