- Much like most plants belonging to the Araceae family, the green velvet alocasia has insoluble calcium oxalate crystals. These are needlelike chemicals that can leech through the tissues, causing irritation and swelling.
- Dogs that ingested green velvet alocasia may show symptoms like drooling, vomiting, and inappetence.
