- All parts of the lantana, including the unripe berries and flowers, are toxic to dogs. They produce pentacyclic triterpenoids. In small amounts, they can trigger digestive upset. Excessive consumption can lead to liver damage and photosensitivity.
- Can dogs eatWithin 24 hours of lantana ingestion, symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea may take place. Late vet intervention can cause more severe clinical signs to develop such as bloody stools, jaundice, and paralysis.
