- Toxic milky sap oozes out of the milky mangrove's leaves, bark, and twig if they are broken or eaten. It can irritate the digestive system of dogs and cause abdominal cramps.
- If the plant’s sap comes into contact with dogs’ eyes, temporary blindness may occur. Skin contact can result in blisters.
