- All parts of the mountain death camas contain highly potent toxic alkaloids, which can cause fatal poisoning in dogs.
- Dogs that have ingested the plant may experience hypersalivation, low body temperature, vomiting, diarrhea, and slow heart rate. Other symptoms such as convulsions and coma may also occur.
