- Many parts of the rose periwinkle are toxic to dogs, including its fruits, flowers, and roots. They contain the toxin known as vinca alkaloids.
- GI symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea may occur after dogs ingest this plant. Other clinical signs of poisoning such as depression, coma, seizures, and tremors can manifest.
