Risks
- The bark, leaves, and flowers of the silky oak plant produce several toxins, such as resorcinols, pentadecylresorcinol, and tridecylresorcinol. If dogs come into contact with these parts of the plant, dermatitis may occur.
- Cyanide is found in the flowers, buds, and fruits of the silky oak. Ingesting these parts of the silky oak can cause poisoning in dogs.
