- Plant matter is not easily digested by the stomach of dogs. Thus, consuming a spring crocus often result in gastric problems like hypersalivation, diarrhea, and vomiting.
- The spring crocus should not be confused with its cousin the autumn crocus, which is toxic to dogs.
