- An unidentified toxin is produced by the flowers and seeds of the trumpet creeper. Ingesting these parts of the plant can result in mild poisoning in the form of stomach upset.
- If dogs come into contact with the trumpet creeper’s sap, skin irritation, redness, and swelling may occur.
