- Wall germander is reportedly linked to liver damage and hepatitis in humans who use the plant as herbal and dietary supplements. Although animal experiments have demonstrated toxicity, it's not clear if wall germander has the same effects on canine. Due to the potential risk, the wall germander should not be ingested by dogs.
