Risks
- The water oak’s leaves and fruits contain the poisonous compounds gallotannins, quercitrin, and quercitin. Ingesting them puts dogs at risk of vomiting and diarrhea.
- In large doses, the water oak can potentially induce liver and/or kidney damage in dogs.
