- Several parts of the white cedar, such as the back, leaves, berries, and flowers, contain meliatoxins. Its berries contain the highest concentrations of the poisonous compound.
- Ingesting this plant can cause gastric problems in dogs such as diarrhea and vomiting. Neural disorders may also take place, such as seizures and weakness.
