Dogs can eat enoki mushrooms. Enoki mushrooms, also known as Enokitake or Golden needle mushrooms, offer plenty of nutrients to dogs. They are known to help enhance immunity, promote a healthy heart and brain in dogs. In addition, they may contain cancer-fighting properties.

Enoki mushrooms are nutritious for dogs; they are abundant in thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B6.
Enoki mushrooms are also rich in minerals, including selenium, phosphorus, copper, and potassium. In addition, they contain anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.

Risks

Cultivated enoki mushrooms are generally safe for dogs.
Some dogs might find raw enoki mushrooms are difficult to digest, they might experience diarrhea after eating enoki mushrooms.

Servings

Cut the woody “stem” parts off to help your dog digest these mushrooms easier.
To remove impurities, fresh enoki mushrooms must be rinsed and soaked. Then, drain and chop into smaller pieces before cooking.
To prepare dried enoki mushrooms, soak them for 30 minutes to one hour. Rinse the mushrooms under running water and drain. Chop them into small pieces.
Serve in moderation as an occasional treat to your dog.
