- Anemone contains the toxic compound anemonin, which can irritate the mucous membranes. It can cause blisters to form and also trigger other adverse reactions like shock, tremors, and seizures.
- It is believed that the white variations of the anemone pose the highest risk to dogs since they tend to be the most poisonous.
