- Belladonna lily houses highly poisonous alkaloids such as scopolamine, hyoscyamine, and atropine. Ingesting even a small amount of the plant's leaves or berries can be fatal to dogs.
- Apart from its toxicity, belladonna lily also causes side effects like irritation on dogs if it touches their skin.
