Risks
- The fumewort has reportedly caused fatal poisoning on grazing livestock. Although there are no cases of fumewort poisoning in dogs, this plant should be viewed as potentially toxic to them.
- The alkaloids found in this plant can cause adverse reactions like mouth sores and gingivitis if ingested in large amounts. Neurological problems such as depression, convulsions, and seizures may also take place.
