- The pink princess philodendron carries sharp calcium oxalates that can cause mouth irritation when chewed by dogs. It can cause swelling of the lips, tongue, and throat which may potentially lead to breathing or swallowing difficulties.
- The calcium oxalates in the plant can also cause stomach upset in dogs when broken down in the digestive tract.
