Can dogs eat a sea urchin? No. Although some sea urchin species are okay for dogs, most of them are toxic. Moreover, it is difficult to tell them apart since they are nearly identical. Sea urchin also has dangerous spines, which can cause paralysis and respiratory failure in dogs.
