- Several parts of the caper spurge such as the seeds, stems, and bark have a milky latex containing diterpene esters. If dogs are exposed to the sap, it can result in skin irritation and inflammation.
- Eating the toxic parts of this plant will produce toxic symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea in dogs.
