- Cast iron plant is not toxic to dogs. This pet-friendly plant can be kept indoors and around dogs. It has no reported toxicity and will not harm dogs if they accidentally ingest the leaves. Although perfectly safe around dogs, the cast iron plant is not meant for canine consumption.
