- The Chinese evergreen produces sharp insoluble calcium oxalate crystals. If dogs ingest this plant, the said compound can pierce the tissues and cause swelling and irritation. It can also induce digestive upset and abnormal heartbeat.
- Some symptoms to look out for if your dog has consumed Chinese evergreen are breathing difficulties, vomiting, diarrhea, and excessive drooling.
